It works. And it works well. It’s also faster and less tedious. I bought the 6 pie maker from Kmart and I’m loving it. It was well worth the money. The pies are small if making meat pies but perfect if making dessert pies. I used Simply Wise gluten free puff pastry first to make some beef pies then apple pies as my first experiment with it. This week I will be making my own pastry for it.

They had a good texture. Reheated well. But I don’t really recommend freezing them unless you undercook them to bake them as a way of reheating. I also didn’t have to worry about the pastry shrinking too much which was another bonus.
I plan to use a rough puff pastry recipe from YouTube to make my next batch of gluten free pies. I’ll try share the results. Lately I have been to busy with work and my toddler to post. I haven’t done anything too interesting food wise. Just the same old thing. I am trying to figure out a reliable bread recipe that works best for us. I have had a lot of failures and an issue with a flying crust/crumb. One of those issues keeps ruining my bread. I’m also struggling to make burger buns.
