Aldi Is Selling Yes You Can Gluten Free Flour

I have been wanting to try this since Easter. I haven’t known about it long but the video the company has posted looks promising for making little buns and cake. Three family members in our home have celiac. I’m on board for the gluten free diet. It seems easier and it seems fair. Though I don’t have to I feel rude eating anything loved or missed like it’s a tease to my family but also because my toddler wants to eat what I’m eating and I want to encourage not just sharing but interest in food. Which set me off on a journey of learning how to recreate foods my family loves and misses. I’m easily pleased and I don’t miss anything. I’m big on pasta and that one has been simply enough to make something satisfying. It took a while but I almost have a perfect recreation.

My biggest hurdle has been buns, hot dog buns and any type of burger bun along with bread. bread in general is hard. It’s either been to wet and deflates or too dense or too cakey in texture. I like the look of the ingredients in this flour and I have high hopes. I would like to try it with tortillas and pasta and see how it handled with making pastry. Pastry can be very hit or miss. I am probably going to make cookies first.

So keep an eye out for any success posts. I will write up what I think of it as I use it and what the family thinks. It’s more important my celiac family enjoys it than what I think. I’m hope it goes well. Fortunately they have recipes to follow. I like to follow the company recipes and tweak it from there.
