Chocolate Porridge

I’m using Red Tractor Omega 3 Wheat Free quick oats. It’s a mix of oats, chia and flaxseed that is wheat free.

Today I used Pana Organic pure cacao powder with dark brown sugar. I added a sprinkle of cinnamon sugar because I couldn’t find my cinnamon powder and banana slices. I just kept it basic. Because these are quick to make I cooked it in milk in a saucepan. Once bubbling I it brought to a low simmer to thicken slowly so the milk doesn’t scorch while stirring continuously. It turned out lovely.

Baby was not a fan of his. I didn’t give him any with cinnamon. I gave him some fruit instead. Today he just was not in the mood for porridge which is fine. It turns out his teeth were bothering him and many textures were very offensive. So it was a soft cold food day.
