I haven’t been as active as I haven’t been very creative. Baby caught a cold and cut two more teeth so we didn’t move on to the next milestone in food but went back to purée. Now his tooth has cut and his gums don’t hurt he has been enjoying sandwiches and meat Patties. He is able to eat the inner part of a cucumber, ham and cheese sandwiches and now omelettes. As long as the veggies are soft enough.
Bubs has also moved onto trying more herbs. He currently loves Master Foods Everything Eggs herbs. It has very mild chili but this kid loves pepper and spice. Makes sense as I had craving for extra hot chorizo that I couldn’t handle but ate it anyway. He has tried small amounts of cumin, tumeric, garlic and oregano in some cooking as well as a bit of smoked paprika.
Today he had an omelette I cooked slowly with finely shredded onions, diced mushrooms, diced red capsicum, yellow cherry tomatoes cut in half and some cheese with a small amount of salt and pepper. I made one giant omelette and served us all some. Watching us both eat it made him more enthusiastic to try it. His took a long time to cool down. He really loved it especially the mushrooms.
Currently he prefers his eggs seasoned. Which I find very interesting. I did not take a photo but next time I’ll try remember. We are currently preparing to move house so I’ll post randomly before probably going quiet for a while.
