White Nectarine Porridge

I don’t have a photo. I preferred some Cerelac and added white Nectarine chunks. I added the nectarine in raw but if your child is under 10 months old and not chewing soft solid fruit yet I would recommend puréeing and cooking first for a more gentle breakfast or lunch. Cook it much like you would apples and pears on a gentle simmer with some water or steam it for a few minutes. My baby is closing in on 15 months and loves nectarine slices. So I thought why not smash some up and put it in some porridge?

Another great food to add in porridge is Papaya. it’s gentle and subtle flavour is usually well received. Since baby is cutting molars and many at once I have had to add foods that don’t sting the gums or upset the belly but still give a sense of fullness. Fruit or veg is always a good addition.
