Rice, soft, bland food that doesn’t sting. yesterday was very bad. Every texture of food causes pain. In those cases plain rice with water or milk or Cerelac rice porridge with milk. Food has been hitting nerves on three freshly cut molars. So he has been extra fussy and in a lot of pain. In those instances temperature and bland food matters. Sometimes all fruit and veg are off the table. Carrot purée can be a good option. But most times it’s best to rely on some rice.
I found out I was all out of rice and the weather was very hot. It would have taken to long to prepare and cool and it was literally easier and quicker to buy some Cerelac. After a bit of struggle with other food he ate all of his porridge which was at around room temp. Neither hot nor cold. There are always days that will be harder than others when baby is growing in new teeth. But a lot of mums don’t always share what food they provided on off days so I thought why not make a post?
Some days don’t have to be fancy. Sometimes less is more. Today he might want regular food or perhaps not. Only way to find out is one step at a time. Every baby is different.
