
My baby hates broccoli. But not for the flavour. The texture. Textures are very off putting for him so I mash or even grate. I grated a whole broccoli and made enough for all of us. I sautéed the broccoli in butter and pepper adding garlic before adding arrowroot added to cold water like any other starch. I used arrowroot powder for the thickener because it has no flavour and it thickens very well. Then I added milk with some cream cheese for some flavour and creaminess. After adding and melting cream cheese I added regular cheese and a bit of garlic and pepper. All the dairy was lactose free. Mostly Liddels. I cooked the gluten free Barilla elbow macaroni pasta before adding adding it at the end. I did not measure. I just eyeballed it all. I added salt to my serve. It was really nice. Definitely recommend trying out but I recommend finding a better recipe. Would be nice with other additives. A bit of diced bacon or spam would be good. Some chicken. Adding asparagus. Next time I will add asparagus. He enjoys some asparagus now and then. If I do I’ll update results.
