Since I am keeping things gluten free and gluten free pasta can be difficult to cook properly for toddlers I settled for rice.
Today we bought fresh beef mince from the local butcher. I cooked about a golf ball to ping pong ball side amount of mince and added some Italian herb mix. Salt free. A literal small pinch and a dash of onion powder. Cooking it together with the very lean mince in a non stick egg frying pan I was able to make a perfect baby sized meal. I added the baby sauce until it covered the mince and around one tablespoon of water and a spoon full of microwave ready rice. I cooked until well done and thickened. To reduce the slightly tart flavour of the sauce I added about a half a teaspoon of creamed cheese. Lactose free Philadelphia cream cheese. He really loved this meal. He is 13 months old now and able to eat minced meat well.

I bought my sauce pictured above from Coles. It’s really good. I also use this on pizza toast for the sauce base. Definitely recommend trying it out.
