This one was nice and simple. All I used was rice, diced carrots and a small amount of turmeric and oil. I used avacado oil. I’m pretty sure I added a little bit of fresh cracked pepper.
I had a lot of leftover rice and after my recent success I decided to make a veggie only rice ball meal. Baby loved it. He smashed it to bits and happily picked up and ate fistfuls of rice and carrot. I diced the carrots fairly small and sautéed them in Avocado oil just to try something different. It worked well. When they were soft enough I added the turmeric and stirred until it was well spread then added the leftover cold rice. It was hard and dry so I had to add small amounts of water to rehydrate the rice. It was well cooked and combined at the end. The rice was soft but not overcooked. After allowing to cook I formed some rice balls. I made sure they were fully cooled before serving. They were a big hit.

I plan to make other rice balls in the future and when I do I will post what I did on here. You don’t have to add pepper or turmeric but it is a good idea to experiment with food and when introducing spices to do so in small mild amounts. I also thought the lovely yellow of turmeric would make it visually pleasing. I don’t think my baby cared about the colour so much.
