Obviously he didn’t eat everything in the picture but he did eat a lot of it. It was very hot the other day. It’s springtime here in Australia and it gets quite hot in mid spring. I gave him a variety of golden kiwi fruit, banana so he wouldn’t be too runny later, some strawberry, Del Sapo melon and some Beurre Bosc pear slices. He loved the pear and melon the most when he usually favours strawberries.

It’s important to add a binding fruit like banana or a bit of cheese and fibre with fruits that are known to cause the runs. Sometimes added fibre isn’t enough if they are sensitive to getting the runs so the combination of fibre and a banana can help alleviate the issue. I am lucky that some banana is enough most days and I have an idea when it’s not. In which case I use some toast and give toast first.
Later in the evening he had scrambled eggs and toast. Because there’s a lot of new fruits for him to try that are hydrating it’s been a lot of fun for him to explore and smash up his new foods. I hand feed him first as well as hand him one piece at a time to try to either eat or explore. Most times they end up mashed.
More updates coming soon.
