In Australia older relatives recommended Farex. I could not find any in the new town I moved to. I found Cerelac instead and baby loves it! At first he preferred it a more watery consistency. He started solids fairly early. When he did, he started on Cerelac. He stopped vomiting and constantly crying and he even slept better. Simply put, combination feeding of breastmilk and formula wasn’t enough. He was ready for food and he was hungry.

The doctors are happy with his weight and feeding. But best of all for me is no tummy issues and no constipation. When I make homemade purée that needs thickening, I simply add some cerelac to it. When he is fussy he always accepts plain Cerelac without issue. So far I really like it and so does he.

Next rice porridge I want to try is one by Bubs Organics. Lots of good reviews and I do like that it has some natural iron in it. Hopefully he will like it as for some reason Stage 1 Cerelac has suddenly become very hard to buy. I will update if I try it out.
